Toy Poodle

The toy poodle, what can I say? Well I can say this - the toy poodle is the most loyal loveable little dog on this planet earth. They are absolutely gorgeous, funny and will stick by your side through thick and thin. They are extremely loyal and will always have one eye on you. I really believe if you went walking on a bridge with your little toy poodle, then all of a sudden you slip and fall off this bridge, I will guarantee your little toy poodle will jump straight after you without any hesitation or fear, Luckily the two of you survived and get rescued and live happily ever after lol!  But in all seriousness this little dog is fearless, kind and affectionate to the one they love. They make extremely good family companions for all families, from the elderly and wise mature person, and disabled people too. They love life and they adore the one who feeds and loves them.  You cannot go wrong with owning or being owned by a toy poodle.        

Attitude and exercise requirements 

The toy poodle is extremely loyal and loving to all who love him, they dont take kindly to fools and will act accordingly. They are not yappy dogs but will announce the fact that strangers and potential thieves are not welcome on your property. They are great watch dogs but do settle quite well once introduced to welcomed visitors.  They don't need big spaces and they make great house dogs too. Exercise requirements are not great, but a romp in the garden and a short walk for a toy poodle is all that is needed to keep this little dog comfortable and fit, but never the less he will keep up with the best of us if required. They lead train really well and do love walkies.   Toy poodles are considered a healthy little dog but like most dogs some breeds do suffer some health issues. We strive to limit and eradicate these sometimes problematic health issues by DNA testing for health problems solely for the prevention of future positive affected adults. This means our puppies willl be free from developing into a DNA positive or a symptomatic adult.  This is an added relief and well appreciated peace of mind for the new owners.

Who suits the Poodle?

This little dog breed ae incredible dogs with everything you are looking for in a pet. This is why a lot of people use the Poodle to cross with other dog breeds, to create a dog of extreme intelligence, beauty, and with a beautiful, lush, non-shedding coat. The toy poodle has this all in the pure pedigree state. So some people may suggest why mix the breeds and why not just breed this beautiful toy dog and sell them as a pure breed? Well yes, you are right. The toy poodle is a great little dog and will definitely make a superb companion, but so are the crosses that the poodle is used with to create other exceptional dogs that may suit certain people looking for a particular favoured breed type. This is why the poodle was introduced. Not only does the poodle create a non-shedding dog, great for allergy sufferer's, but it also gives the other breeds the superior intelligence known to be a characteristic of the poodle.
