Bordoodle

The bordoodle, the poodle miniature or toy mixed with the border collie. The supreme dog of the doggie world, what an athlete, what a charmer, what an extraordinary dog they are. These dogs are blessed with unsurpassed intelligence, we have no smarter. The poodle is listed number two in the smartest breed category,  and the one and only border collie is listed number one - wow, what a combination!  I have been associated with this dog for quite some time and I think they are amazing dogs, smart as buggery and as loyal as they come.  They do well with all sorts of people and situations, they excel as the family companion and playmate,  they love kids, and they love life, and most of all, they love you.  I highly recommend this dog and if a dog was a super hero this one would fit the bill 100%.  

Attitude and exercise requirements 

Although these dogs do need a good amount of exercise they can get what they need in a medium to large backyard. A game of fetch and a nice satisfying walk in the afternoon is ample enough for this dog. They are not an in your face type of dog but they do sometimes require a person that loves the outdoors and not a couch potato, although they most definitely can sit with you while you watch telly, or read a book. They will excel with someone who will exercise him, a great dog for the walking enthusiast and joggers, never the less a nice calm stroll by your side every afternoon is quite sufficient. They do settle very well and they do differentiate the difference once play time/walk time is over and rest time begins.  Highly recommended companions.  

Who suits the bordoodle? 

The bordoodle suits anyone that has time to exercise and love him. They are quite athletic and do have good energy too, but that doesn't mean they are over the top either. They need an owner that loves to take his dog for walks and play a bit of ball. He will thrive in a family environment, as he would thrive with a one dog owner. He loves children and adores to be classified as part of the family. He is a very smart dog and makes the absolute best companion.
