Cocker Spaniel

The cocker spaniel is a small to medium sized dog with a sturdy build. My experience with this breed goes back many years and have loved the breed forever.  My Aunt introduced me to the Cocker spaniel as she had three, Humphrey,  Betty and Monty. She absolutely adored these dogs and so did I.  I remember as a kid I was always over at my Aunts place just to play with them and I loved those dogs with a passion, they had the most sweetest nature. Humphrey used to smile like a Cheshire cat with his pearly whites on full display I kid you not. He was an adorable dog and loved nothing better than to sit next to my uncle and watch television while snacking on scones with jam, Humphrey looked well fed that's for sure!   

Attitude and exercise requirements 

As you probably realise Cocker Spaniels are a favourite of mine, but still they are wonderful dogs with extremely good natures. They adore their owners and love being part of the family. I would recommend these dogs to anyone wanting a complete companion and friend.  They do well with children and as long as they respect the dog, they will live together without any problems.

The Cocker is a great walker and loves nothing better than to join the family in a hike or a trip to the beach. They love life and love walkies, but that doesn't mean they need large amounts of space, although they do love a romp in the woods but that doesn't mean they won't sit with you in a relaxed state and watch your favourite movie with you, because they absolutely will. 

Who suits the Cocker Spaniel? 

Everyone suits a cocker spaniel, they are wonderful dogs, with a great common sense attitude, they will love you every day and more. If you bring a Cocker Spaniel into your life it's usually for ever. The love for this breed is endless, they are absolutely gorgeous, and I would recommend this dog to anyone from the elderly mature person to the family oriented people with children. They are great house dogs but can spend time outside too, a very adaptable breed.
