Miniature Poodle

 What more can I say about the miniature poodle that I didn't say about the toy poodle? Well they pretty much are the same dog but in a slightly bigger package. I spoke about how loyal the poodles are and rightly so because they are such an amazing dog breed - cute, smart and very loyal. And a much appreciated bonus is that they don't shed that annoying coat that in shedding breed seems to stick to every part of your body and furniture.  I remember many years ago Mum had a Miniature poodle named Sharn, he was the smartest dog you would ever see. Everyone in the house used to hide their shoes because Sharn used to find everyones shoes in the house and bring them to you. He would drop them at your feet and expect a reward every time. Funny thing was he knew who owned that particular shoe and took them directly to the owner, and if you didn't reward him with a piece of cheese he would bark until he got his reward.  Some times he had to settle for a plain old piece of bread. He was never taught this trick as far as I remember.  Amazing creatures they certainly are.  A very good choice of breed to join your family.  The mighty poodle.    

Attitude and exercise requirements 

Like the toy poodle, the miniature only needs a moderate amount of exercise. A brisk evening walk, a fun game in the back yard of ball is all that is required. Poodles make exceptional house dogs and train really well and are naturally obedient. They toilet train really easily too. They are classified as the second smartest dog in the world and believe me this is all so very true. Poodles rock in my opinion.   

Who suits the Miniature Poodle? 

The Miniature, just like the toy poodle, suits just about all types of situations, from family life with children to the single and more mature folk. They really are wonderful and extremely adaptable dogs.  I love the Poodle, there are no two ways about it. They are the rocket scientist of all dogs. I actually know some poodles that are smarter than some of my family members. (And I'm not saying that my sister is that dumb either lol !)
